Job Functions: Job Summary This position assembles generator sets and sub-assemblies that include both standard and non-standard product lines. This will require using hand and power tools and following quality and procedural techniques.
Job Functions (Essential)
- Read, interpret, and implement mechanical instructions, drawings, schematics and equipment used to perform mechanical assembly duties on Line 1 HPR Units
- Cross train in multiple assembly and mechanical areas and help in other areas based on necessity.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the products assembled and continuous learning of the principles, practices and processes of their job as changes require.
- Recognize obvious defective or damaged parts, incorrect sizes, faulty workmanship and general quality.
- Responsible for following safety and environmental procedures and established processes and policies.
- Provide input on continuous improvement opportunities within the department
- Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
- Perform special projects as required

- Daily work is performed in a durable goods manufacturing environment.

- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The employee may also be exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable

Qualifications: Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Required: - 3 years of mechanical knowledge and use of hand tools and equipment
- Basic ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Basic ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates proficiency in both oral and written communication as well as communicate in a team environment
- Quality and detail orientation and basic organizational skills
- Good ability to learn and adapt to changing technology
- Good ability to use a variety of hand and power tools with proper
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. frequently
Preferred: - High School Diploma or GED
