Salary: Mental Health Assistant: $37,611.08 - $43,246.10 annual starting salary based on experience.

Role: Under the supervision of the PERS Program Coordinator the Mental Health Assistant monitors the health, safety, and security of multiple consumers simultaneously via the electronic Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) monitors. Responds to their needs verbally and in person, or by arranging for appropriate response. PERS runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Rotating midnight position working from 6 pm-6 am, every other weekend and holidays.
Job Specific Requirements: - Prior experience working with Adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and/or Adults with Mental Illness preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid MI driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Evening hours required - midnight shift. Able to work weekends and holidays.
- Able to work independently with no supervision.
- Able to discern multiple conversations and noises while external sounds and distractions are present in a room.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to learn computer operations and documentation procedures, operation of office equipment, filing, and other tasks as assigned.
