JOB SUMMARY The Robotics Arm Technician is responsible for the full robotic arm solution for our autonomous yard shifting trucks, handling arm programming efforts and coordinating tooling functionality and design needs. This position will specifically develop solutions to connect air and power connections between yard shifting trucks and trailers to achieve high reliability with connection and disconnection.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Experience with customers and end users
- Preform Trial Runs of equipment.
- Record any issues with equipment.
- Report high priority bugs and/or problems to supervisor.
- Serve as a customer contact for problem resolution.
- Can lift and carry test equipment on a regular basis.
- Able to climb stairs ladders, and maneuver around vehicles.
- Work within a highly collaborative environment where developers, testers and the business work together as a team to deliver the best possible software.
- Must be able to utilize agile development and testing methods and expect testers to participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements, planning, design, development, and testing of all kinds.
- Exercise good judgment in weighing the forces involved in determining software readiness.
- Able to build clear, concise, and complete test-related documentation as necessary.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Provide tooling design needs to mechanical engineering
- Determine save mounting positions/locations on yard shifting trucks for robotic arms
- Train users on correct arm operation and operation of the arm solution
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, JOB SKILLS - BS in Computer Science or related degree
- Certification on Fanuc Robotic Arms
- Certification on Fanuc 2D and 3D IR vision systems
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Fanuc Arm experience
- Ability to program Fanuc robotic arms
- Basic understanding of software development practices.
- Ability to understand basic database concepts.
- Experience in teamwork and individual accountability.
- Troubleshooting problem diagnosis skills and being detail oriented.
- Good analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Must demonstrate some leadership qualities.
- Must be able to work independently
