Bradford County Children and Youth Services (BCCYS) is eager to welcome a County Casework Supervisor to lead our dedicated team of professionals. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Staff training is a major focus of this role. You will develop, find, and implement in-service training for professional social service workers, both individuals and groups, providing full-time guidance to staff on a continuing basis. Additional duties include reviewing staff work, making contacts and maintaining relationships with other agencies in the community, and carrying a small caseload to maintain expert witness status.

As the Supervisor, you will be required to have knowledge in case management and social work principles, practices and methodologies, as well as knowledge of basic principles of supervision, organization and training. You must possess knowledge of rules, laws, regulations, policies and procedures governing child welfare and show the ability to evaluate the work of subordinates and provide assistance and guidance as needed.

Additional duties to include but not limited to: Possessing skills in negotiation, advocacy, organization, data management, human relations and engagement. Fulfilling all requirements set forth by the Department of Public Welfare for the certification of Child Welfare Supervisor and the Agency

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Hours may vary due to travel, after hours appointments, etc. Telework : You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. Work from home policy is limited to 18 days per year. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Towanda. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

**QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; **or Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

Other Requirements:

You must meet the PA residency requirement. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
