ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE
As part of the Operational Technology Networks team, this position will have responsibility to lead projects delivering communications supporting the Long-Term Infrastructure Improvement Projects (LTIIP) in Client’s PA and NJ Operating Companies.
Responsibilities:
-Manage the communications track of projects to deploy monitoring & control to substation and line devices
-Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders – including operating company representatives, contractors,
network architects, specialists, engineers, and technicians
-Deliver communications-related projects on-scope, on-schedule, and on-budget
Qualifications:
-Bachelor or Associates Degree in a computer science, technology, engineering or business-related program along with 2 years related work experience. In lieu of a degree, 4 years of related experience required.
-Related work experience includes, but is not limited to: knowledge of IT Project Management methodologies; experience in complex, technical projects; ability to utilize Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
-Experience developing detailed schedules for a portfolio of projects with various individual milestones
-Experience running projects to establishing communications to remote field devices
-Understanding of underlying communications technologies including fiber (outside the plant), digital microwave, field area networks, SCADA/RTU communications, routing & switching
-Experience coordinating project activities with contractors, subject matter experts, network architects, etc.
-Project management certification a plus but not required
-Familiarity with general engineering documentation and an electrical background is preferred
-Strong project management education, skills, and/or background
-Superior written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to learn new concepts in information technology, learn the characteristics of new systems and update skills to adapt to changing technology
-Detail-oriented, motivated, focused, and hard-working
